Our 2-hour Legacy Landscape offers you an intimate tour with a small group of people who are all interested in learning more about the history of downtown Anchorage. We do this with curated storytelling; highlighting a sampling of various lives and events that helped shape this town, as you walk and explore various landmarks. Your tour guide will answer any questions along the way. Legacy Landscape is best for those who enjoy more in-depth historical discussion. This tour is recommended for participants with good mobility and stamina who can climb multiple stairs, walk up a steep incline and can easily balance on uneven surfaces, including gravel trails. {Note: If you aren't sure your fitness level is suited for this tour, please let us know in advance by placing your question in the comment box when placing your order and we can advise you accordingly.} All tours are suitable for all ages, and prices include children 6yrs and over. For children under 5yrs, there is no additional charge. SPECIALTY TOURS FOR GROUPS: Specialty tours are available for various affiliated groups or Spanish speaking groups, with advanced notice. Please indicate if you are booking a tour for a group and the needs of that group, in the comment box when placing your order. We can: Schedule a Private Tour: We will organize a tour especially for your school, team or group at your request, based on availability. Minimum size: 4 people /Maximum size: 8 people per tour. Schedule a Tour in Spanish: Our tour guide is happy to accommodate your group's needs, by providing a tour in Spanish, upon request, based on availability. Minimum size: 4 people /Maximum size: 8 people per tour. Schedule an Alternate Start Location: For your convenience, if your tour group's lodging is closer to another location on our tour or if it is inconvenient to meet at Resolution Park, please let us know. If possible, we can arrange to make an accommodation for your group, with advance notice, to meet at an alternate location to start your tour. ACCESSIBILITY: Most of each tour is outdoors and may not be suitable for wheelchairs and scooters because the terrain will vary. Please contact us when booking your tour to let us know of any accessibility concerns and we can make recommendations accordingly. Thanks! Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
If you need to Reschedule or Cancel your Anchorage History Walking Tour, please let us know. RESCHEDULING: Within 24 hours prior to the start of your tour, if you know you will not be able to attend the time you are scheduled, you are encouraged to reschedule your tour for later time that same day, if available, or chose another day for your tour. CANCELLATION: If you cancel 24 hours in advance of the start of your scheduled tour: You/Each person in your group will get a FULL REFUND. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the start of your scheduled tour: You/Each person in your group will be reimbursed 50% of the cost of the tour. All refunds will be made in 5-7 business days after the day of your tour. NO-SHOWS: If you don’t cancel or reschedule, but are a NO-SHOW, you will NOT be reimbursed for your scheduled tour, in most cases. {Should there be extenuating circumstances, considerations may be made at the at the discretion of your guide.} RUNNING LATE: If you are only running a few minutes late, you have the option of sending us a text and our guide will direct you to where to catch up with your tour group, so you don't miss out completely.
