We're looking for volunteers to help us train our intern!

Donate 1 hour of your time for an initial US-based customer consult/interview, and we'll give you a summary and research plan ($50 value) for free! (appointments available through Jan 31, 2019 until interview schedule is full at 10 recipients)

Chronos has a new intern (Welcome, Elodie!), and she’s whetting her genealogy chops by practicing writing summary and research plans for new clients. We're looking for volunteers (preferably who are not professionals in the field) to do a family history interview so that Elodie can get some fresh practice. In return, the volunteer will get Chronos’ comprehensive client research plan (a $50 value).

What does it involve?

It involves an initial interview with you acting as a client (60 minutes) so we can learn what you know about your family history and what you as the client want to know more about. Within a couple days, you will receive a summary report of the family data and a detailed plan of action for the next 10 hours of genealogical research.

How can I use the research plan?

The research plan helps amateur genealogists map out their next moves by offering potential research questions and lists of relevant archives and databases the satisfy the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS), particularly regarding an exhaustive search. The Chronos Research Plan also forms the basis of a client contract for future work should a client retain our services for family tree research.
